Summary
The HONOR Gold Star Families Act would increase the death gratuity for families of fallen service members from $100,000 to $200,000 and adjust it annually to keep pace with inflation. This would directly benefit families who have lost a loved one in military service. The government would also make these changes retroactive to January 1, 2026.
