 Mr. Deluzio introduced the following bill; which was referred to the
                  Committee on Education and Workforce

                                 A BILL

To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to provide opportunities for
 students at institutions of higher education to study trades, and for
                            other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Pathway to Trades Act''.

SEC. 2. AGREEMENTS WITH INSTITUTIONS FOR FEDERAL PERKINS LOANS.

    Section 463(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C.
1087cc(a)) is amended--
            (1) in paragraph (8), by striking ``and'' at the end;
            (2) by redesignating paragraph (9) as paragraph (10); and
            (3) by inserting after paragraph (8) the following:
            ``(9) provide that the institution of higher education
        will--
                    ``(A) designate a faculty member as a point of
                contact for students studying, or interested in
                studying, trades; and
                    ``(B) develop courses for students relating to
                trades; and''.
