Mr. Lujan (for himself and Mr. Heinrich) introduced the following bill;
  which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Indian Affairs

                                 A BILL

  To amend the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act to modify a provision
 relating to the extension of certain dates for the completion of the
             Regional Water System, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AAMODT LITIGATION SETTLEMENT PROTECTION.

    Section 623(g) of the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act (Public Law
111-291; 124 Stat. 3153) is amended--
            (1) by striking ``The dates'' and inserting the following:
            ``(1) Conditions precedent; expiration date.--The dates'';
        and
            (2) by adding at the end the following:
            ``(2) Determination of substantial completion.--The dates
        in subsection (e) may be extended if the Pueblos, the United
        States (acting through the Secretary), the State, the City, and
        the County agree that an extension is reasonably necessary.''.
