A BILL
To amend title 23, United States Code, to provide for resilience grants
for strengthening, upgrading, or improving municipal piers under the
Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-
saving Transportation program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Piers Reinvestment Act''.
SEC. 2. ELIGIBILITY FOR MUNICIPAL PIER IMPROVEMENTS.
(a) Resilience Improvement Grants.--Section 176(d)(4)(A)(ii)(II) of
title 23, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in item (pp) by striking ``and'' at the end;
(2) by redesignating item (qq) as item (rr); and
(3) by inserting after item (pp) the following:
``(qq) strengthening,
upgrading, or improving
municipal piers; and''.
(b) At-Risk Coastal Infrastructure Grants.--Section
176(d)(4)(C)(iii) of title 23, United States Code, is amended by
inserting ``municipal piers,'' after ``pedestrian walkways,''.
(c) Authorization of Appropriations.--Section 11101(b)(1)(E)(i)(V)
of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (23 U.S.C. 101 note) is
amended by striking ``$300,000,000'' and inserting ``$500,000,000''.
