                                 A BILL

 To direct the Director of the Bureau of Prisons to provide medication
       assisted treatment for opioid addiction to certain women.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Maternal Access to Treatment Act of
2026'' or the ``MAT Act of 2026''.

SEC. 2. MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT.

    (a) Requirement.--The Director of the Bureau of Prisons shall
provide medication assisted treatment (commonly known as ``MAT'') to
each pregnant woman in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons addicted to
opioids.
    (b) Exception.--A pregnant woman who is mentally competent may deny
the provision of medication assisted treatment under subsection (a).
