RESOLUTION
Recognizing Charleston as the appropriate host city for the 2027 annual
meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
Parliamentary Assembly.
Whereas Charleston, South Carolina was scheduled to host the 2027 Organization
for Security and Cooperation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA)
annual session;
Whereas hosting the convention in South Carolina is a tribute to the life and
legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Olin Graham;
Whereas Charleston is fully equipped to host this event with its world-renowned
facilities, including a convention center, hotels, restaurants,
catering, interpreters and more that exceed the needs of the convention;
Whereas the United States has not held the OSCE PA annual session since 2005 in
Washington, DC; and
Whereas Serbia has more recently hosted the OSCE PA Belgrade in 2011: Now,
therefore, be it
Resolved, That it is the sense of the House of Representatives
that--
(1) the OSCE PA should allow Charleston to go forward with
the 2027 annual session as planned.
